Title: FIX Protocol Specialist / Consultant

Help Greenline Financial Technologies be a leader in the industry by acting as the Senior Consultant in Financial Services Technology who serves client needs; enhances consulting staff accomplishments and competence; achieves client services operational objectives; manages junior resources; plans project objectives; resolves issues; accomplishes project mission.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Translates business requirements into technical quality assurance test cases.
  • Evaluates (and potentially create) system requirements, process flow and use cases.
  • Coordinates and facilitates user acceptance testing.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to decipher specific documentation (including use case diagrams and definitions, database models, screen mockups, data dictionary, etc.)
  • Creates, executes, and tracks test cases based on use case definitions.
  • Develops system and user acceptance test plans, test cases, regression tests, and ensuring the overall quality of the product.
  • Produces detailed release notes for business and IT distribution.
  • Utilizes proven quality assurance techniques, best practices, standards and trouble shooting methods.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies from the quality assurance technique or process viewpoint, and propose changes that may include process redesign and tool recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Expert problem-solver. Sorts through complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions.
  • Makes compelling presentations to a variety of audiences using visual aids, slide shows, and other media. Is adept at getting the attention and involvement of the most sophisticated and difficult audiences.
  • Understands client needs, identifies root causes of problems, and develops and implements creative and pragmatic solutions.
  • Sets a comfortable tone and encourages open communication. Listens attentively and actively.
  • Some travel required.
  • Understanding of the development life-cycle process, especially the Development and Quality Assurance Cycle
  • Working knowledge of the Capital Markets industry segment, specifically around electronic trading

  • Familiarity with FIX protocol variations, FIX Servers, and Order Management System concepts
  • Helps others handle organizational, technical, or procedural change.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in the Financial Services industry.
